Thanksgiving opens the door to the holiday season. Yes, stores have had Christmas displays up for weeks already, but they are a bit premature. The spirit changes on that special Thursday. We express our gratitude for a year’s worth of blessings that deserve attention every day. We gather with those we love, share a bigger-than-we-need meal, nap and watch football. It is a day filled with memories and family.
